The Grande Scandinavia and Grande Ellade are sisterships in the Grande "C" class, and were built in 2001, at 51,799 GRT. Each ship has one outside Owner's Cabin with one double bed and a separate sitting room. The sitting room has a sofa, armchair, table, and desk with a chair, and the bathroom has a bathtub. There is also a double outside cabin with a foldout sofa bed, a sitting area with a sofa, and a bathroom with a shower. Also available are 3 inside double cabins with two lower twin beds, and bathrooms with showers.

Both of these outside cabins have three lower beds and a fold down bed. They also have 2 wardrobes, a writing table and chair, and private facilities. They are located on deck 11 along with the dining room, lounge, and small gym. All passenger areas are air conditioned and reached by elevator. The Line has advised us the furniture in the cabins and the public areas are simpler than that of the ships that serve the Northern Europe/Mediterranean routing. There is a self service laundry available. The ships have Italian officers and Indian engineers. Therefore one could expect a variety of Italian and Indian food to be served onboard. The attraction of this service is the variety and number of ports called in just 4 weeks' time. The voyage includes 8 countries: Spain, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Unusual ports include Flushing, the Netherlands and Gemlik and Yeniköy, Turkey. Gemlik is a small town on the southern shore of the Marmara Sea where Renaults and Fiats are loaded. Yeniköy is more or less the private pier of the Ford Motor Company. We recommend passengers board in Valencia, Spain, as flights are readily available via Madrid. Valencia is an attractive town with a nicely restored old town, an interesting aquarium, and a good selection of hotels. Passengers may also board in Southampton, England, although Southampton is occasionally omitted. Ports of call are dependent on the import and export of cars.

NSB offers service on the mv Ibn Sina and Al Fujairah on a 77 day roundvoyage from New York to Europe, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and India. You can choose a cruise segment, or take one ship to a foreign port on the itinerary and return on a later sailing.
These sisterships can accommodate a maximum of eight passengers in one Owner's Suite, two Double Suites, and two Single Cabins, all with private facilities. The dining room and lounge are shared with ship's officers. A sauna, fitness room (with tennis table and rowing machine or stationary bicycle), indoor pool and laundry facilities are all available to passengers. There is a steward on board. There is good deck space and passengers can walk around the entire ship on the main deck. The ships are fully containerized and as is common with newer container ships, the cabins, dining room, lounge, swimming pool and gym are located on 5 different decks. There is no elevator, so passengers must be able to negotiate many stairs. The lead officers are German, and the remainder of the crew is German or Filipino. There is weekly cabin service. The vessels were built in 1993 in Germany and are 45,470 DWT and about 708 feet long (216 meters).

The spacious living room has a refrigerator, sofa, chairs, table, and desk, with views to the side and front (the front view may be blocked by containers). The bedroom has one bed which is about 78" x 63" (2 x 1.6 meters), and a wardrobe and view to the side. Double Suite #308 is identical to Double Suite #209, but one deck below. Single Cabin #200 is on Deck 5 and is about 258 square feet (24 square meters), is carpeted, and has private facilities with shower. This is a large single cabin with one bed which is about 78" x 47" (2 x 1.2 meters), a wardrobe, refrigerator, chair, table, desk, and convertible sofa. The view is to the front and may be blocked by containers. Single Cabin #303 is on Deck 4 and is about 226 square feet (21 square meters), is carpeted, and has private facilities with shower. This cabin has one bed which is about 78" x 47" (2 x 1.2 meters), a wardrobe, refrigerator, chair, table, desk, and convertible sofa. This cabin is smaller then Cabin #200 but has unobstructed views to the side. The dining room and lounge are on Deck 1. Please note that the laundry is 2 decks below Deck 1. |

NSB offers the Hanjin Amsterdam, Hanjin Athens, Hanjin Brussels and Hanjin Ottawa on an 84 day itinerary from Long Beach or Oakland, California to Italy and Spain via the Far East. Five passengers can be accommodated in one Owner's Suite, one double suite, and one single cabin. The Owner's Suite and double suite, on F deck, are forward-facing with a view that may be blocked by containers, and are approximately 323 square feet (30 square meters) including the bathroom. The price is the same for either cabin. The Owner's Suite is starboard middle and the double suite is port side middle. Each suite has two rooms, with a separate sitting room and sleeping room, and has a wardrobe and one bed measuring approximately 80" x 70" (2.05 x 1.80 m). Passengers will enjoy a video/DVD player, refrigerator, and mini stereo in each cabin. There are two sofas in the sitting room, a desk, and three chairs. The cabins are carpeted. There is one single cabin on the port side of E deck, which is a forward-facing one room cabin that is approximately 193 square feet (18 square meters), with a bed that is about 80" x 49" (2.05 x 1.25 m). The view may be blocked by containers. This carpeted cabin has a video/DVD player, refrigerator, mini stereo, wardrobe, sofa, armchair, and a table and chair. An indoor swimming pool, sauna, and a fitness room with table tennis and a stationary bicycle or rowing machine are also available for passenger enjoyment. There is a self-service laundry. These ships have elevators, making transiting the many decks easier. There is a steward onboard, with weekly cabin service. The Hanjin Amsterdam and Hanjin Brussels were built in 1999, and the Hanjin Athens and Hanjin Ottawa in 2000. The ships are 68,800 DWT, about 912 feet in length (278 m) and about 131 feet in width (40 m).
